Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of Traditional Arts and Crafts_Kanazawa
Originally designed by Yoshiro Taniguchi to lodge the Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of Art, this building opened to the public in October 1959. It is located inside the Kenroku-en Garden, considered to be one of the three most beautiful gardens in Japan, adjacent to Seisonkaku, a residence of a feudal lord in the late Edo period. However, in the 1980's local public authorities decided to built a new museum of art and this building was then designated to become a showcase for the traditional crafts of Ishikawa Prefecture. It also holds temporary exhibitions and has a shop that sells these traditional crafts.
