Opening Untitled (two takes on crisis) Exhibition 23 April – 12 June 2016 Opening Friday 22 April 2 – 9 pm Location: de Appel arts centre de Appel arts centre and the participants of the Curatorial Programme cordially invite you to the opening day of the final project of the Curatorial Programme 2015-16: Untitled (two takes on crisis) on Friday 22 April from 2 – 9 pm. The participants of the Curatorial Programme present two projects, You Must Make Your Death Public and Rien ne va plus? Faites vos jeux! which investigate how artists and curators reflect upon the notion of crisis. Both collect a variety of thoughts, strategies and counter-moves used in situations of a decisive nature. Programme of the opening day at de Appel arts centre 2 – 5 pm Presentation of the project You Must Make Your Death Public and discussion with some of the project contributors, such as Minna Henriksson and Philipp Gufler. No reservation needed. 5 – 6 pm Performative walk by Oto Hudec, Walk Between Trees. Please make reservations if you would like to attend. 6 – 9 pm Opening of the exhibitions at de Appel arts centre, no reservation needed. 7 – 9 pm Performance by Gluklya, Psychoanalytical cabinet of Colored. About the Curatorial Programme: Initiated in 1994 as an in-house international training trajectory for young curators, the Curatorial Programme of de Appel arts centre offers its participants hands-on experiences and skills for a further development of their professional career. Each year the programme culminates in the collective conception of a final project at de Appel arts centre. The Curatorial Programme 2015-16 are: Laura Amann (Austria, 1986), Kateryna Filyuk (Ukraine, 1986), Jussi Koitela (Finland, 1981), Renée Mboya (Kenya, 1986), Asep Topan (Indonesia, 1989) and Alessandra Troncone (Italy, 1984).
