Érica Peçanha

Érica Peçanha é antropóloga e crítica literária, doutora e Mestra em Antropologia Social pela Universidade de São Paulo, com estágio pós-doutoral na Faculdade de Educação da mesma instituição. Graduada em Sociologia e Política pela FESP-SP, Peçanha é especialista em literatura periférica brasileira, autora de Vozes Marginais na Literatura (2009), trabalho sobre a projeção de escritores da periferia no cenário contemporâneo, e coautora de Polifonias Marginais (2015), livro que traz entrevistas com produtores literários negros e perigféricos.

Atua nas áreas de antropologia urbana, pesquisa social e ciências humanas e saúde, com focos na discussão sobre periferia, cultura e juventude.

Érica Peçanha is an anthropologist and literary critic. She holds a PhD and a MA in Social Anthropology from the University of São Paulo, with a post-doctoral internship at the School of Education of the same institution. Érica also holds a Bachelor in Sociology and Politics from FESP-SP, and is a specialist in peripheral Brazilian literature, author of Vozes Marginais na Literatura (2009), a work about the projection of writers from the periphery on the contemporary scene, and co-author of Polifonias Marginais (2015), a book that includes interviews with black and peripheral literary producers.
She works in the areas of urban anthropology, social research and humanities and health sciences, with a focus on the discussion of periphery, culture and youth.
