Elfi Turpin
Elfi Turpin is an independent curator based in Paris, France. Through writings, discussive and curatorial practices, she uses to collaborate with artists on very specific projects engaging a long term research and exchange. Master Degree in History of Contemporary Art (D.E.A Order and Disorder in Contemporary Societies, University of Dijon, France). In 2003, she joined Glassbox, a Parisian artist-run space whose calling was to support a prospective artistic scene in France and abroad. She co-programmed and organized there several shows and events until 2007. In 2007, she has founded with artist Kristina Solomoukha the group ‘Fanclub’, whose aim is to set up artistic collaborative projects through teaching, exhibitions and publications (1% of almost nothing, Park, Paris, 2008, Monument pour feuille A4, Tool Box, Nantes ; Retournez la chaussette ! Où la chaussette retournée, Live in Your Head, Geneva, 2009, Monuments contest, Dojo, Nice, 2009, Monuments Contest II, The world tour, ENSA Paris-Malaquais, 2010). In 2008-2009, she was invited-curator at La Box, Bourges, for a one year programmation including exhibitions, talks and a magazine edition (4 issues). She has also been involved in several discursive practices, giving lectures and workshops (BPI – Centre Pompidou, La force de l’art#1, MacVal, Paris, Pinchuk Art Center, Kiev, Head, Geneva, Capacete, Rio.). She is currently in residence at Capacete, Rio de Janeiro / Programa 29a Bienal de São Paulo.
